Kylie Minogue Set to Inaugurate Voltaire with Exclusive U.S. Residency

International pop icon Kylie Minogue is set to be the premiere act at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas’s newest venue, Voltaire, launching later this year. Voltaire promises a novel fusion of an intimate club atmosphere, a full-blown concert experience, and continuous entertainment. With Minogue taking the lead, the venue looks to redefine Las Vegas’s nightlife scene, closely following her chart-topping single “Padam Padam” and the anticipation of her forthcoming album, “Tension.”

Over the decades, Minogue has solidified her place in pop music history with staggering sales of over 80 million records globally, 5 billion streams, and an impressive tally of eight UK No. 1 albums. Her illustrious accolades encompass three BRIT awards, two MTV awards, and a Grammy. Remarkably, Minogue is the sole female artist to claim a No. 1 album in the UK across five successive decades, underscoring her unique and evolving presence in the world of pop.
New Album “Tension”
As 2023/2024 unfolds, it introduces “Tension,” Minogue’s latest studio endeavor, brimming with empowering anthems and sultry pop masterpieces. This November, fans can expect an electric performance at Voltaire, where she’ll bring to life tracks from “Tension”, including the infectious ‘Padam Padam.’ The album, comprising eleven tracks, exudes an unapologetic pursuit of joy and living in the present.

Speaking on “Tension,” Minogue shared, “This album began with a blank slate and an open heart. It’s not rooted in a single theme but seeks to capture the essence, joy, or fantasy of every moment. It’s a celebration of individual songs and the liberty they offer. While I cherished studio moments with my team, remote recording’s efficiency grew on me, becoming a constant over the past year and a half. The album, both a personal reflection and a nod to club culture, has been my anchor through thick and thin, and I hope it does the same for its listeners.”
In the creation of “Tension,” Minogue collaborated with several producers, most notably with Biff Stannard and Duck Blackwell, who co-wrote and produced seven tracks. The lead single, ‘Padam Padam’, debuted on American Idol in May, subsequently becoming an international sensation. It’s not only dominated the UK charts but has also resonated with the TikTok community, leading to a whimsical plea for “Padam” to be recognized in the Oxford English Dictionary.
