What does residency mean in Vegas?
When artists have residencies in Vegas, it means they aren’t moving from city to city but performing in the same place for a “run” of shows. Vegas residencies are almost always performed as full-scale productions, rather than concerts.
Who has Vegas residencies currently?
Rotate quite frequently. Some artists will play for several months at a time, while others will return multiple times throughout the year for shorter shows. The list above rotates to include all currently running/rescheduled shows as well as new announcements.
Do Las Vegas residencies run year-round?
Always! There’s almost always something playing somewhere in Vegas. The line-up rotates through different acts over the year, so there isn’t really an offseason for Vegas residencies.
Where are Las Vegas residency shows located?
For the most part, they’re found at the larger venues on or near the Strip. Caesars Palace, Park MGM, Resorts World, and other theaters are designed to host long-term shows.
How long do Vegas residencies last?
It can range from a couple of weeks to many months. Some artists will also break up multiple “legs” of their show by returning multiple times per year.
Are residency shows different from regular concerts?
They typically are. Most residency shows are designed specifically for Vegas with unique staging, visuals, and sometimes even setlists you won’t see on the artists’ regular tour.
